Applying to BASIS Independent Fremont

Thank you for your interest in learning more about the process for admission to BASIS Independent Fremont. Our process is selective and multi-step, ensuring we spend time getting to know our applicants, their families, and vice-versa.

2017–18 Applications

It's not too late to join us for the 2017–18 school year. We are currently accepting Grades 1-4 and Grade 6 applications on a rolling admissions basis. Apply now!

Rolling Admissions

Application Deadline: Applications for all grades are open until the grade has filled.
Notification: We aim to notify you within 14 days of receiving your completed application.

 

2018–19 Applications

Applications for the 2018–19 school year will become available on a Friday, September 1, 2017. Register for our interest list to receive updates from our admissions team.

Early Admissions

Deadline to submit application: Tuesday, October 31, 2017
Deadline to complete application: Thursday, November 30, 2017
Notification Date: Monday, December 11, 2017 

Regular Admissions

Deadline to submit application: Wednesday, January 31, 2018
Deadline to complete application: Friday, March 2, 2018
Notification Date: Monday, March 12, 2018

 

BASIS Independent Silicon Valley

Upon successful completion of grade 8 at BASIS Independent Fremont, students are offered admission to BASIS Independent Silicon Valley for high school. Serving grades 5–12, BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, located at 1290 Parkmoor Avenue in San Jose, is currently accepting applications.
 

Admissions Steps and Requirements

    Attend an Informational Event (Optional)

    Though not required, we recommend you attend an informational event to learn about our program before applying.

    Optional for all grades (Transitional Kindergartengrade 8).

    Complete and submit an application along with a $65 application fee.

    Provide teacher evaluation forms to your child's current teacher(s).

    We require that materials are sent directly from your child's current school to our Admissions office.

    Required for grades 18.

  • 4

    Submit transcript request and standardized test scores to your child's current school.

    We require that materials are sent directly from your child's current school to our admissions office.

    Required for grades 18.

  • 5

    Register online for your child's group play date (Kindergarten–grade 1) or entrance exam (grades 2–8).

  • 6

    Register online for your Family Meeting.

    All applicants and at least one parent and/or legal guardian must attend a 30-minute meeting where we will interview your child and answer any questions you may have.

    Required for all grades (Kindergartengrade 8).
