Ms. Foster

Auxiliary Program Coordinator

Ms. Foster graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, at Davis in 2011. At the end of her freshman year, she was hired as a tour guide for the Admissions department. During the three years of tour guiding, Ms. Foster received Employee of the Month five times and was later named Student Employee of the Year for UC Davis out of 5,000 student workers.

At BASIS Independent Fremont, Ms. Foster serves as the Auxiliary Programs Coordinator. In this role, she establishes and organizes quality enrichment programs for our students and believes “it is imperative that a child receive a complete learning experience that includes academics, social skills, the arts and athletics.” Ms. Foster chose BASIS Independent because “the mission is congruent to what I would like to see happen in American schools. When a former coworker, who is a current teacher with BASIS Independent, reached out to me about a revolutionary educational institution, I researched her recommendation. I saw that BASIS.ed schools have adapted the successful learning practices from schools all over the world. That is why I am here and why I thoroughly enjoy where I work.”

Ms. Foster enjoys singing oldies, indulging in spa treatments, reading, meeting new people, and eating cream puffs!
