Applying to BASIS Independent Fremont

Thank you for your interest in learning more about the process for admission to BASIS Independent Fremont. Our process is selective and multi-step, ensuring we spend time getting to know our applicants, their families, and vice-versa. We are currently accepting applications for Grades 2 through 7 for fall 2018 on a rolling basis (Rolling Admissions). Apply now for fall 2018.

2018–19 Applications

Admissions steps and requirements vary by grade. Please read below for details.

Rolling Admissions

Rolling Admissions: We are accepting applications for Grades 2–7 on a rolling basis. Beginning March 12, applicants who have completed all application requirements will be notified of an offer within 5 business days.

Regular Admissions

Deadline to submit application: Wednesday, January 31, 2018
Deadline to complete application: Friday, March 2, 2018
Notification Date: Monday, March 12, 2018

 

Admissions Steps and Requirements

    Attend an Informational Event (Optional)

    Though not required, we recommend you attend an informational event to learn about our program before applying.

    Optional for all grades (Transitional Kindergartengrade 8).

    Complete and submit an application along with a $65 application fee.

    Required for all grades (Transitional Kindergarten-grade 8)

    Provide teacher evaluation forms to your child's current teacher(s).

    We require that materials are sent directly from your child's current school to our Admissions office.

    Required for grades 18.

  • 4

    Submit transcript request and standardized test scores to your child's current school.

    We require that materials are sent directly from your child's current school to our admissions office.

    Required for grades 18.

  • 5

    Register online for your child's group play date (Kindergarten–grade 1) or entrance exam (grades 2–8).

  • 6

    Register online for your Family Meeting.

    All applicants and at least one parent and/or legal guardian must attend a 30-minute meeting where we will interview your child and answer any questions you may have.

    Required for all grades (Kindergartengrade 8).
