The BASIS Independent Fremont learning community of students, teachers, and administrators worked together to create a set of school-wide expectations to be carried from classroom to classroom, grade to grade, and to establish a strong sense of community. The underlying concept of this set of expectations is simple: respect.
We are committed to providing a fulfilling life for our students. Our approach to athletics promotes healthy competition and empowers students with the discipline, grit, and persistence to become leaders on and off the court.
From cooking to theatre, coding to Spelling Bee, our clubs & activities help students grow into well-rounded learners and discover their passions. Our unique approach to clubs & activities at BASIS Independent Fremont empowers students to create or help develop a program where they see a need beyond what is offered.
Our educational philosophy is centered around student autonomy and self-advocacy. To support these values, we’ve designed specific services to help empower students when they come to school each day. We also offer many critical auxiliary services such as a lunch program and before-and after-school care.
Our content-rich curriculum is complemented by many opportunities for students to see ideas in action—both in and out of the classroom. We delight in giving students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of course material and how it relates to the world around them, and explore problems from new angles.
